Except for an occasional workshop, I’m a self-taught photographer. My interest in the Visual Arts began in college where I received a degree in Television Production from the University of Washington. After that, I spent two years in South America producing & directing classroom instructional programs in Spanish for the Peace Corps. Then came a Masters Degree in Instructional Technology at USC. After four years of gainful employment, I quickly realized that I am not a “company man”. I then spent the next decade as a self-employed Audio-Visual Producer specializing in the educational field. The income was not great, but I was my own boss with lots of artistic freedom. I am currently President of the SLO Camera Club.
